It is inconvenient that when you use "Save as", save to any folder different from the default Snagit library folder, and the file cannot be found via Library Search, you cannot use Tags. As I said, I have now gone back to Snagit 2021 since it has less undesirable features. So unless the user remembers exactly where the last file was saved, it is lost. Then, should the user choose to do so, one or the other of the files can be "removed from library" so that the library only contains the desired files. In Snagit 2021, both files reside in the library so that you can access either of them. In addition, when you "save as" an MP4 file in Snagit 2022, the newly named file does not appear in the library, only the folder to which you saved it. both the files should appear in the library. Those two functions should not give the same result! AND. In Snagit 2022, when you save as a snagx file it gets the new name in the Snagit library. Can't there be a middle ground where you have the option of either having them in one big mess or separated by date? Now in Snagit 2022, they are all in one big folder. In Snagit 2021 the captures were separated by a file tree with dates. One possible solution has been posted on this thread.įirst I want to comment on the structure of the new library. NO! That's a workflow changer! Others have commented on this problem. Now, in v.22, the default folder is the last folder I saved a file to.
